It is my opinion that mixing woods is difficult to do successfully. If the doors are similar styles (for instance all Shaker with similar door designs), you might be able to get away with mixing some bargain cabinets by painting some or everything.

If the maple cabinets are not in the same row against the same wall as the other cabinets ... such as if they're off to the side between kitchen and dining to be used as a butler's pantry or to be used to create a built in buffet or even to be used as an island, it could work; otherwise, my inclination likely would be to paint them all the same color ... and I'm not usually a fan of painting over the natural finish of good wood cabinets. That said, you could ahead and place the cabinets before you decide; and, if so, do post pics if you want informed opinions.

The vast majority of unfinished cabinets sold in box stores are red oak. Not maple. It’s not surprising that they pull pink. The doors are the most expensive part of any cabinet. New doors would likely cost as much as you paid for the cabibets. I wouldn’t bother. I’ve seen them painted up nicely though. Pick a good light color, sand, Prine, and paint them.
