Have you never been around operating pool equipment?

It has been 20 years since I have had a pool. The last one I had the pool equipment was on the master bedroom side of the house and you could hear it. I didn't know if it would be different under the house and if equipment has gotten quieter since then?

Who is going to have to crawl in there to service the equipment? Is it even possible?

Sorry...I should have been more specific. Our crawl space will be 7' tall.

The pump makes too much noise. Build an insulated enclosure for it outside.

Inground pools - Oh, the things to consider! Deep research is your responsibility. Many areas "discount" electric cost during evening hours, hence you run the filter at night, but NOT under your bedroom. Size (gallons per minute) of pump, size of piping lines, and having two "returns" (top edge filter AND bottom drain) make a big difference (time of filter run). Pool companies are loath to explain the options as they do cost extra. Winterizing isn't a big project once you learn how.

The location is fine provided it meets manufacturers space requirements. The heater is the most important piece of equipment to be installed indoors. It needs a certain amount fresh air to aid in venting, the vent itself has to meet certain criteria for location and spacing.

All must accessible for servicing.

Pumps are pretty quiet these days, but when your laying in bed and it's running, you will certainly hear it.
