Thank you, that is very helpful! I do not have another picture of the model home from the same angel. When we bought the home model we could only choose colors for cabinets and a small selection of quartz counter tops, as the style comes with “gourmet kitchen” choice. We added real hardwood in replacement of the models LVF. The model is five years old. We bought it untiled in the kitchen and put in our own. I wondered about the faucet. I wanted brushed nickel or brushed gold, but I let my husband have something he fell in love with. I can live with it if it makes home happy, but I’m very grateful to hear how it appears to a designer.

I don't think there is any value jumps or drops in value either from what you did. The only thing that might have added some value is hardwood vs. vinyl, but that would also depend on the area if there is any value there or not. In some areas they would be desirable and doubt an appraisal would attach a huge amount of value to it unless it is the whole house and the neighborhood generally only does part of the house.

I’m glad to hear that, Lyfia. I was hoping that our color and fixture type decisions would not harm the value. I didn’t see it going up, but I felt if the style was too unpopular or mixed up it might effect resale. Our other concern was hardwood versus luxury vinyl. I was talked into hardwood by Lumber Liquidators and I put a lot of thought and research into it because I felt like they just wanted to sell their overstock. The area is Colorado Springs.
