I call my two Mme. Lambard, but I'm sure they'd also answer to Mme. Lombard. It's a carefree rose for me, never any rust and only minimal mildew in the wet season. It's most definitely a keeper.

I had her then lost her as she was in a bad spot. Now I've put a new one in a good spot and can't wait to see her grow up. She got this good spot because I am slowly replacing my so so modern roses with teas. They do so much better here, it is just astonishing.

Mine also came from a cemetery, where there is no summer irrigation but where those bushes (there are several) have thrived for years. Although "Georgetown Tea" is thought by some to be 'Mme. Lambard', when I grew it here it was much more prone to powdery mildew than my cemetery 'Mme. Lambard', which is very healthy. It is a floriferous rose, including winter, here, too.

It's very changeable, too ... so much so that it got a different study name nearly everywhere it's been collected.

Here, I have been thinking my ML and Georgetown Tea are identical. Both from ARE. In theory, I could have received a double of one or the other. I would think a good nursery (which ARE certainly is) would notice if they were identical. It is a puzzle.

Again, Sheila -- Mme. Lambard is very, very, very changeable.

I can fully understand that they may remain unconvinced that the two roses are identical.
