Brain storm Covid! It's all about your face and five deadly entry points. The mask protection, no matter its cute factor seems an uncomfortable,suffocating, sweaty,solution to a long term dilemma. It leaves your eyes exposed, it is rather airless. It gets germ infested. You need a ton, or you wash the darn rag, over and over...

BUT! if you had a really cute baseball cap. a sheet of clear washable plastic, a couple of adorable buttons, and a bit of elastic? You could be better protected , put some air between you and the virus, clean your windshield over and over with a simple swipe of both sides. The world could see your ENTIRE pretty face, Think full coverage, version of a motorcycle helmet, with none of the bulk. the shield out in front of that adorable brim.

Someone sneezes at you? No worse than a bug on a windshield. Those annoying bands around your ears? Banished! The buttons on the cap seem more comfy, do they not? First one to create ? You win the car lol

add button both sides above your ears

add clear "soft" plastic .......out in front of that brim : )

Presto! Full wrap around cough/sneeze barrier between you and the world. Because 18 months is a long time , is it not? And who doesn't love a really cute HAT?

While I admire your creativity in designing this (and yes, it’s cute and much better looking than a mask) I disagree that this is what people should use. The point of wearing a mask is twofold .....to protect you if someone sneezes or coughs, etc. But more importantly to keep YOU from transmitting the virus to other people if you are infected but asymptomatic. YOUR sneezes or coughs - or even just your breath if it is airborne - are trapped by the mask in large part. I don’t see how the open plastic face shield accomplishes this.

A mask is for protecting others BTW and has very little to do with protecting you unless it is a N95 mask and those are worn by front line workers along with a shield. I think the idea is good though for something a bit more nice looking .IMO stay away from getting any closer than 6.5 feet if you need to cough or sneeze do so into your arm and try to make this situation as pleasnat as it can be. Our stores in our town have some very good ideas like only one way travel in a shopping aisle, sanitizing hands and handle on cart at the door. Turning you head away when you need to pass someone. The cashiers all have plastic screens at their stations and wip down the pin pad after every transaction. I think some common sense about social distancing is the best practice. On here there are people still going out shopping for non essential items and having workers come into their homes. Really people a counter is not an essential service plywood will work just fine to be safe.

A mock up tinted. freezer bag cut open. hat, two straight pins, just enough of a slit at brim front ( not perfected here ). Stays away from your face.

Advantages. easy to clean or have multiple shields

The cheap cloth crafty doo dads , are ALREADY littering lawns along the road side, and parking lots. It is disgusting.. Someone has to pick these up.Might as well toss a diaper to the lot! UGH!

You sneeze into the cloth. then what? Got another? You start adjusting, THEN you touch your face after you have already touched God knows what? YOU, dear one then touch something, that someone else shall touch?

Someone coughs front or side of you? .......your eyes? What about those?

PS..... I did say crafty Babes, did I not? . Me? I'm thinking better coverage than a bike helmet, and a lot cooler than a motorcycle helmet. Face, hands, face, hands face = NO. This is going to be my armor, albeit hugely improved from the mock up.. Do as you like: )

I need help please. I do not know how to word it but I’ll try my best. I’m sending a picture of my kitchen w the backsplash and countertop. My question is does the tile that I use in the bathroom , does it have to blend with the kitchen?

WAH! But mine is far better! The SLIT in MY brim, allows the plastic to be in a far better position., closer to the chin, and also help you resist flipping that shield up. ........look again. . MINE IS BETTER ! Waaaaaaaay better ! hahahaha. I am going to make some : ) I have run out of stuff to clean. Next, I will be licking sidewalks..
