Well you selected a paint with a lot of blue in it. You can either embrace it and add more deep navy accents or repaint if it doesn’t appeal to you. Right now I find it ok w your rug so up to you.

Wow, I think it looks awesome that color. It actually looks like charcoal to me, but I know our monitors can affect hues.

Agree with above — it looks great with your rug. I’d live with it a bit, it’s a huge change to get used to, and see if grows on you. If it doesn’t, I’d go with black. I think darker looks much better from what I can see of your room. :)

Thoughts on layering a jute or sisal under the Loloi rug? I thought it’d be big enough but room def needs more. Am thinking adding lighter base could tie in natural mantel (which we were gonna stain—bought it that way and just threw up there with no intention of keeping but kinda growing on us....same with chachkee on mantel- no way final, was just what was laying around/playing with shape & dimensions.
Thoughts??

Erin, I love the look of layered rugs, but am just wondering if there’s room for that? It’s always hard to see scale and dimensions from just photos, so maybe there is. But your other rug looks very close to the hearth as is. If you have room, I think it’d look great! I really like how you decorated the mantle, and the natural wood color. It’s very organic looking and unique. :)

I really like it too! Very unique and pairs so well with the natural wood elements hahaha I bet it will grow on you! Unless the rug can get pulled under the couch to leave more space doesn’t look like there’s enough to layer, unless you layer on top maybe a woven indoor outdoor rug to tie in those natural wood tones. It’s lovely!! I hope you end up loving it, be a great story later :)

The fireplace has to be just right so repaint in a charcoal with less blue. IMO the blond mantel doesn't work for the room either. It's just a bit too stark.
