Draw out a scaled floor plan with dimensions and include everything exactly where it is now in order to get the best advice.

Is the home slab / pier / basement? Where is bath located, first floor / second floor? Makes all the difference (cost wise) if plumbing is to be moved.

This is how ours turned out but we preferred a larger shower and no tub.

1. The bathroom is on the main floor with a finished lower level under it.

2. We're stuck with the diagonal corner. Not an option to straighten it out.

3. I would be glad to get out of this for $30K. I know it's a big price tag to do.

When we redid our master bath, we eliminated the tub nobody used and put in a very nice frameless glass corner shower with porcelain walls, porcelain mosaic tile floor and granite entry sill to match the granite vanity counters. The bathroom floor is also porcelain. The shower has a hand-held wand and a good wall shower head, and a granite-topped built-in corner seat/foot platform. The existing window was replaced with an above-the-shoulder high waterproof-framed frosted-glass window which can be slid open if desired.

the one thing I love about the existing bathroom is the open shower.., Want to keep that as is, except for replacing wall and floor tile.

I wish my bathroom looked as nice as your current one. It does have a lot of mirrors though. I love your cabinets.

Makes sense. I would not design it that way, but at this point, changing it is a bigger project than I’m willing to take on, as it would require knocking a hole in bedroom wall. There are pocket doors between the bath and closet, which I think helps keep moisture out..

I like the space. Your cabinets and hardware are beautiful. I think the main thing I would change is the extent of mirrors and maybe the lighting (much less than $30K)
