The last thing I want to do is emphasize basement bulkheads. So I leave them white.

If you're not sure, have the painters do one vertical section in the grey and decide then.

We have a lower middle section in our basement and they painted the vertical part of the drop down Revere Pewter to match the walls. It doesn’t bother me at all. I could see going with the ceiling color as well. You can see it in this pic. This goes the length of the room.

I would make them white. We are painting our basement Revere Pewter too!
