I have a massive burr weed issue in our garden. I'm assuming all these tiny little sprouts of green/red stems are more Burr weeds.

I need to know how to get rid of these. I am anti-round up so I know that's half my problem. But I read even after using weed killer, it doesn't rid the burrs/seeds. I read to drag a woolen blanket over the area to remove the burrs. What can I use if I don't have a woolen blanket? I just learned in my reading today that is how it spreads, and I'm afraid I already drug them into the grassy lawn with my shoes in the last few days.

HELP! Need advice on how to get rid of these! They are spreading all over my garden.
