Is there a single formation of spiders surrounding the 100 plants, or are there 100 spider formations surrounding each individual plant?

If they seem to be doing great, I wouldn't worry. Maybe get a photo of the spiders in order to ID them if you want to make sure they're no problem.

It's 100 plants and I noticed lots of red spiders around them all, lots of single strand webs. I'll try to get pics. There are a lot of soybeans planted in this area and that attracts aphids. Maybe the spiders dine on aphids. I do know the Asian Beetles love to eat aphids.

Spiders present NO risk to plants!! None! Spiders eat insects, not plants, and they are considered beneficial predators. Spiders in the garden - any kind of spiders - are a good thing. In the house.....not so much :-)

Spider mites are different creatures altogether and could present a problem. But they are minute so almost impossible to see with the naked eye. And they usually appear much later in the season when the weather offers the heat and dry conditions they prefer.

at hatch.. it can seem that there is a problem .. and a bazillion of them ... and then a little time later.. you wonder what happened to them all ... in other words.. no need to act immediately imo ... the worst i have experienced.. and its not that bad at all ... is that in fall.. you might see a great web show on dewy mornings... but otherwise.. they disappeared for the summer ... it seems that there are cycles with these kind of things ... and they explode every so many years or so ...

shall we presume.. you didnt plant these 6 inches from the house ... if they are away from the house ... whats the problem ... its easier to accept ma nature.. rather than fight her ...

all that said.. continue to work on the IDs so we know what we are dealing with.. and if any further action may be needed ...

you might try calling your county extension office.. and ask if they are aware of any current plague ... these things rarely happen in one yard ...
