Hidden Lake, Gee Farms (oops wrong forum, and not all that close). My brother lives in Portage (just outside Kzoo) so I'm planning on going. Hope to see you there (assuming we survive Covid).

since i live 10 mins from hidden lakes.. and it takes exactly 2 hours to see my daughter in kazoo ... a 4 hour round trip to HL would seem a waste of a day ...

and gees isnt much of a hosta place ... back when i went there anyway ... but it is the place to be for trees and conifers.. especially garys 10 acre arb ...

and gees is probably another 1.5 from kazoo ... round trip 3 .. but they are sorta on the same loop ... done in one day.. but that would be a lot of hours in the bus ...

i wonder if anything is left at englearth ... in hopkins ??? .. just outside grand rapids??? .. worth the trip i mean ....

But it's on the way if you're coming from Colum . . . bus - does that count as a bus trip? I'm just thinking about my stops, not the Hosta tours. Meijer's is an hour away and I don't remember many Hosta there either. Lots of Christmas trees though, hmmm, maybe I went in the winter. That would explain the lack of hostas. Hopefully there are a bunch of private gardens worth seeing.

ken, meijers in GR. are you talking about the department store or some nursery? There is the Fredrick Meijer Gardens, always worth a visit.

I never heard of englearth in Hopkins but will check it out.

K gardens in Byron Center just outside of GR has a good variety of hostas.

I'm probably the only one, but great news for me. I really wanted to go, and one of my nieces was getting married that weekend. Yay second chance! (Her wedding got postponed, too.)
