I have recreated my garden spot in an area of the corner of our yard, where I have had a garden before...the soil is good, but there is grass /weeds growing. I have tilled up the area and removed as much of the grass as I could..and would like to cover it with black weed cloth and plant into that. I'm not going to do raised beds, I have really good soil where I'm working..what are you thoughts on this? should I cover the cloth with something after planting everything ? will seeds have trouble with it? I'm assuming that I'd cut areas out or make slits or something where seeds will go.
