I m suggesting dont rush it,you might paint the back splash for now and find some thing that it suit your budget and your kitchen,I always tell to my client don't go with option that its not 100% percent of your choice,I recently had client that we renovate their kitchen and they didn't not changed their flooring since flooring cost was to high on their budget.
