Is parsley cross-pollination a problem?

I have both flat leaf and curly parsley bolting at the moment. I want to save seeds of the flat leaf parsley, because I live in a place where parsley seeds are not commonly available. (I saved the curly parsley seeds three years ago when that was the only variety I had, and those saved seeds had excellent germination last year). Unfortunately, I planted both of them mixed and crowded together. I've seen different sites saying that they are different species, or only different varieties of the same species. How important is it to go in and rogue out the curly ones before the flat leaf flowers?

Another problem is that I am not even 100% sure which is which. Two plants bolted first, and one has typical flat-leaf parsley leaves all the way up, as well as down at the bottom (visible because it is ion the edge of the bed), so I am sure about that one. But the other earliest bolter shot up taller and its upper leaves are long and skinny, not parsley shaped at all. It looks like it's a flat leaf down below, but it is crowded I can't be sure. Now a curly parsley is bolting too, and it seems to be yet another third leaf-shape, more like the typical curly parsley. I'm confused!
