I'm just harvesting all of my 1015 "Super Sweet", and they are very nice. Now, they are exceptionally mild which is what "sweet" sorta means for onions, but the sugar content isn't that high. In fact, they brix out at about 6. I was surprised to learn that there are much higher brix onions, with brixes allegedly ranging up to 10 or so, but I'm not familiar with the varieties. I see things like Sapelo, Jalene, and Caroline, which I believe are Granex varieties. None seem to be available from Dixondale, so I suppose I'd just have to seed them. Might be fun. Short day recommendations for high brix (as opposed to just "sweet") onions?
