Wall oven stack order - warming drawer in middle??

Every photo I see for oven stacks has the warming drawer on the bottom but then I hear you will never use it on the bottom. So why not put it in the middle?? I am getting wolf CSO which is shorter than a regular oven. Why not put that on top, then warming drawer and oven at bottom? That way warming drawer is more accessible, I have one oven at ideal level, and one below like it would be if under counter anyway. I anticipate using the CSO most so do not think I will mind at all if oven is on the bottom. I think functionally it seems like it would be good but esthetically I really have never seen this configuration. Any advice appreciated! Note, my kitchen config is all set, aside from this cabinet, so I will not be putting the warming drawer elsewhere.

i have CSO on top, then the oven, then w/d on bottom. I would not do as you are suggesting because then the oven would practically be on the floor. I use my oven a lot more than my w/d, and my CSO more than my oven. But if I want to use my w/d the location really doesn’t bother me.

I had a range in my last house and decided to do this configuration to put the oven at a better ( higher) level. Really do love it.

and you are right..the CSO is my go to oven for so many things. Son just got home from running. Could have put his plate in the w/d..instead put it in fridge. When he got home he reheated it in CSO for 10 minutes. Just as good as when it was prepared. Certainly better than keeping it in the w/d.

WD should not be part of a stack. When you have a stack of 3, whichever appliance is on the bottom means you will have to bend very low to access it. People end up not using their warming drawers at all when they are on the bottom, for that reason. Even if your CSO is shorter, it’s still an issue to have a third appliance on the bottom of a stack.

Stack your CSO and oven together. Install your WD directly under the counter, ideally next to the oven. That way, you can pull things from the oven, and put them easily in the WD without bending low with a hot pan or a potentially sloshing item.

Also make sure you really want the WD at all. Many people love them, but many people find they don’t use them and regret them.

Thanks for your replies. ILoveRed great to hear how you functionally use your appliances and your kitchen looks beautiful. Also happy to hear your go to is the CSO! I am excited for it! I love your quartzite too!!

Shannon_WI - actually, if oven is on the bottom of the stack it is at the same height as a regular under the counter oven. I measured my existing oven with the height of where my wolf oven would be on the bottom of the stack and they are exactly the same. I am 5'4" and have never minded a conventional under counter oven but chose to do the wall since I was getting the CSO. I honestly feel I would use the warming drawer more than my second oven and don't mind the oven being regular height so that is what prompted this thought to rearrange. Also as mentioned, kitchen configuration is set and already have the warming drawer...no going back! Just still have option to change order of appliances in this one cabinet! Thanks for your input!

ajohnsonk - What did you end up doing? I am in the same situation, wanting to put the warming drawer in the middle of a stack with the steam oven on top and the regular oven underneath.
