There is a Western Azalea native to the area and it has a lot of color variability so one has to buy it in bloom to see what color they will really be getting. I remember it was called Rhododendron occidentale (latin name) but I forgot the most important part... its bloom color. No idea??? but you can check around. Other possibilities to check: Flame Azalea, aka, Rhododendron calendulaceum or Cumberland Azalea, aka, Rhododendron cumberlandense

That is actually an Azalea. I believe it is called a Mollis Azalea

I had a fairly diseased one when we moved in .It's more tree form than Bush . I'll bet that it's stunning next to your rose.
