This is a new molluscidice that is being marketed widely. I have a pelletized version. The instructions call for 1/2 tsp per yard, which strikes me as being an awfully small dose. I mean, that's maybe ten tiny pellets in a yard, and the snails can easily walk right around them. Also, when it rains, the pellets dissolve. Not clear how fast it degrades, and whether dissolved and reprecipitated EDTA is still a snail preventative. The question is, what prevents me from using more of this? I know it isn't a human health hazard, if you don't eat a lot of the stuff. But will it hurt plants if used in larger quantities?
