And probably a stupid one, so pardon that... Are prune plums very similar to "regular" plums in terms of texture and taste, or different? Reason I ask is I don't care for plums but I do love prunes, and if the texture of fresh prune plums is meatier and the taste is richer, I might enjoy them. Trees pretty easy to find locally this time of year so debating planting one. I guess I could dry them into prunes but am mainly interested in growing for the fresh fruit.
