what should I plant behind this rose

hi, I have about enough space to walk behind this rose plant . I was wondering what to plant behind it so that it doesn't get in the way of pruning . I am also open to not planting anything there and having a statue or hanging baskets or some kind of wall piece and leave mulch below. what are your suggestions. TIA

    First off, get the landscape fabric out now while you still can and before it becomes a nightmare.
