Bed should face the door

Agree, I'd face the door.

Our bed actually floats in the middle of the room, but this is not for everyone.

For most restful, secure sleep your bed should be on the closet wall, opposite the entry. Your bed, and the wall you plan to paper, will also be the focal point when one enters the bedroom.

That’s what I think as well, but wanted to make sure the clearance on either side of the bed was enough.

I like to see the bed and accent wall from the door, but maybe you want to see the accent wall from your bed.

In a small room you might not want an accent wall. What wallpaper did you choose?

This is the wallpaper I chose. I plan to put it on the wall behind our bed (whichever wall I decide on). Our bed is a tall, tufted upholstered bed in a cream color.

RedRyder - my dilemma exactly! Should I go for more ‘wow’ but smaller nightstands and less room between the wall and bed, or less ‘wow’ and more room? Opposite the bed is a wall mounted tv. No dresser (we don’t need it) - I may put a chair in the corner by the window.

Agree with majority. It will also be easier to get in and out of the far side of the bed with the foot of bed facing the door. Easier flow
