We are stuck on deciding the siding for our new construction home.

Option 1: All white board and batten.
Option 2: Partial white board and batten with naturally weathered shingles on the two ends that have shingles in the picture.

The Details: The house will be raised up a few steps, have no pergola in the front, and have a covered front porch from the front door up to the beginning of the first cedar shingle part. The house will have a dark grey metal roof. White windows.
