do junipers do well in Georgia ?

I’ll look into those. I did swear off junipers when I had a house with a swath of them put in by the builder. They were bad for getting weeds in them but impossible to get the weeds out of. However they were builder grade cheapies.

Many junipers do quite well, and we have a native species, J. virginiana, with some nice cultivars. Also, many of the Asian junipers can be spectacular, and most do well here in Georgia. Finally, some north American species that are usually found further north are also adaptable, like J. horizontalis.

Look into icee blue yellowwood

Cunninghamia lanceolata 'Glauca' is perfected suited to almost anywhere in Georgia, and the true cultivar is plenty blue. However, they probably would prefer good, deep, woodland soil which might not be in abundance in every Georgia garden.

Annette I have some gold drifts for sale if interested. I think I met you at an acs meeting and we were at Larry Stanley’s nursery? I have tried his the blues twice and they died. Not a great pic but she is on the left.

not to jinx myself but I’ve been able to keep a handful of picea pungens alive here in Atlanta. I have a iseli Fastigate that I planted in 2015 that’s Going strong. It’s in full sun but its planted on a slope in amended soil - which I think is the trick. I also have a ruby teardrops that’s defying all odds considering it’s location (low and hard clay). i bought it at twin branch nursery in Woodstock. The bluest blue non-pungens I have is my deodar patti Faye.
