So sorry to see this damage, Darren, although your garden overall is so lush and beautiful. If you could see my poor excuse for a garden that's been ravaged by rabbits, roof rats and ground squirrels, you'd be counting your blessings, but it's always our own gardens that we see with such critical eyes. Hopefully as the season goes on, and with rains to wash away the fertilizer, you'll have the garden you deserve again. Your videos are so enjoyable! Little Ava is a star!

Don't despair Darren! Most of your roses are repeat bloomers and may present you with a better flush later. I am also seeing many similar flowers with few petals on the very first flowers and I am attributing it to too warm of winter followed by cold and constant rain with no sun all spring, late in the season hard freezes and now high 90Fs setting everything on its ear. I can't blame it on fertilizer because other than a quick foliar spray of fish and kelp in mid April I am still trying to get my roses fertilized proper! The later flowers are okay in size and petal count. Oh and you have enabled me! I bought my first Japanese maple - Tamukeyama!

Looks great Darren and really enjoyed the tour! Sorry you're not having the best weather. That's basically why I've shied away from adding any more once bloomers, even though I love them, because you wait all year and then we'll get one of our big spring rains, and it's all spoiled. Doesn't look bad to me at all though!

So beautiful. I know not all of your babies are doing well right now -- but the vast majority are just gorgeous. this is the first great year for me in 3 years . And give Ava a reward for her steadfastness! I'm surprised you can grow the ceanothus! I thought they needed drought!
