Hi guys!! This is my first post on this site so I am super excited that I found a place that gives plant advice! I'm looking for people that have successfully grown lithops before for a period of time. I am completely new to them, but I fell in love the minute I saw one. I am new to them, but I have watched countless videos and read other blog postings for hours on end.

My problem: horizontal wrinkling on the side. In the reddish pink cluster, the smaller one on the right is wrinkling and squishy. The root systems are joint (one plant), and the other two have either no wrinkling and are firm or are firm with some small wrinkles.

What I need answered: what does the wrinkling mean, and if it is squishy, does that mean I am watering too much, too little, or is it rotting, or is it a sun issue?? The squishy one seems to just be getting more squishy. But the other in the cluster are fine.

How I care for them:

Bought: bare root from leaf and clay about 2 months ago.

Soil: I have several potted in the same pot, but I am using 1/8th pumice (75%), and cactus mix (25%). It has a top dressing of pumice. They different species are potted several inches apart so that I can water directly according to their schedules and keep watering as seperate as possible.

Pot: its a semi-glazed clay pot with TONS of Drainage holes.

Light: They get the morning sun from about 8 am to 12, then I move them to a bright lit shady area so they don't burn. Right now its about 65 at night (i've been bringing them inside at night), and 75-80 during the day. We get a high humidity here (65%). I thought the wrinkling may have been a water issue so I watered yesterday, but only enough to wet about the first 1/2 inch of the soil... Not sure if I screed up.

Because I just bought them, I was only sure about a few of them in terms of their cycle. The green ones had dried up leaves and a dried flower. The grey ones had dried up leaves and no flower so I'm assuming what you see are the new baby plants. And the pink ones (the ones in question) are unknown... but they don't look close to splitting (and it wouldn't be the right season for that anyways).

Anything you guys could suggest would be SUPER helpful. I want to be a good lithops mom!
