Decorating advice wanted

These are pictures of my main living area from when the previous owners were selling. It's a raised ranch with vaulted ceilings and dark wood beams. It has an open floor plan with kitchen, dining, and living room all together.
The one wall is filled with 4 patio glass doors which removes some decoration options. There's a small piece of wall between each set of two.
The staircase is across from one set of patio doors. There is a main entry door into the kitchen/dining room as well though the front door is downstairs. (the 4 pics below show it in sections)

I've changed the wall color, the furniture completely, as well as the curtains and all.

However i'm looking to totally change up the look with new living room and dining room furniture. I prefer white or off white with color thrown in. I like modern style mostly but I also like some French and luxe styles. Was considering moving my China cabinet (larger than the one you see there and matches the cabinets) to the living room right of the fireplace and adding a breakfast bar with a round smaller dining table and a couple chairs.

Any recommendations on a the living room furniture layout and color pallette? I struggle trying to take into account the color of the cabinets, island, and wood beams. Maybe some blues, teal or purples..
Should I bring the walls all back to white? They're currently darker. Should I leave the dark beams?

Any opinions are welcome. Looking for any ideas. Thank you.

From Eastern Feng Shui perspective, painting the beams the same color as the ceiling could be a nice change.

Is there hard wood under carpet? Are you replacing red sofa?

I like the red. But since you want white or off white with color thrown in, maybe this direction.

If you are keeping grey carpet, this could also work.

If you are keeping red furniture, bring in some blue/teal/jewel tones with it. And Tiffany blue is also another nice option.

Dining room: with the previous owner‘s china cabinet gone, I would add a padded bench on that wall with a round table and a new chandelier can now be centered over table. You’ll have better flow as well to the outside. Suggest adding white linen drapes on a black rod on both sets of windows if possible (hard to tell without seeing whole expanse).

    - I think soft white walls will be a good idea, based on photos, wall color has a peach undertone.

    - You could leave the beams and see how they work with the white walls, new furniture/decor, but I think they would be nicer stained lighter.

Kitchen: you could paint the island black - the white and the stain is not working well and maybe down the road paint lower cabinets black to tie in with appliances and white uppers will lighten the whole space - will give the kitchen a nice update

Living room: space is small, so I would go with light colors to make it feel larger. An apartment sized couch and two chairs are the most flexible. If you can use dining room door only to get outside, you could place your couch along window with two chairs where the love seat is and a bench on half wall for extra seating. If too tight skip bench and place chairs on half wall. Imagine below with these layouts. Provided also to show the lightness to look for.

You mentioned adding a large cabinet to right of fireplace - it may overwhelm room and I’m sure will also limit your new furniture selections. Suggest two low bookcases or cabinets with tv on one and balance other side with art

Thank you so much! I forgot to add that we removed the carpets and have wood looking laminate floors (didn't want to get wood due to the dog) however we plan to change those floors completely as well.
