I was used to the old format, but nothing I can't get used to.

I don't get why things are constantly changing here, and not only changing but waffling back and forth between changes in a seemingly inconsistent manner. It's like we are someone's IT experiment, and it's quite annoying.

I'm not a fan. Since comments often refer to older comments, if you forget to change the sort and read them from newest to oldest they don't make sense. I guess it's nice to be able to sort, but I'd rather have Oldest than Newest as the default sort.

There was another thread on the first page this morning, discussing the same issue. I don't see the new format now--didn't see it then.

I haven't seen this problem yet. Using a PC with Firefox and accessing most forums with bookmarks.

Just think---- someone was recently hoping for more emojis here. Ha! Just make the original functional.

Thank you to all that are responding. I have to tell you as the Thank You under each comment is not working for me. And those that say I thanked you- I didn't do that, though I would have liked to. Keep the comments coming as I'm posting this to another thread where we have some Houzz Team members interacting with us regarding issues.

New format is a failure due to the multiple useless steps they have added.

- Original post and replies are shortened, so you have to keep clicking "Read More"

- Oldest/Newest is even wonkier today, because they show up as Newest, but to get to show Oldest, you can just click on Oldest, you have to click Newest and the Oldest for it to reset.

- If you post a reply, then you lose any previous selections, so you have to go through it all again.

I like the oldest comments on top. Then I can easily see how people react to other's comments if they're posted.

Their sophisticated "Best Answer" is just where someone clicked a like. Sometimes the "Best Answer" is a question - but to Houzz tech people it's the best.

Either they are woefully inexperienced or they're high. Either way, it's a constant surprise, so at least they keep it interesting.

Hi @houssaon, sorry about the inconvenience. The sorting-by-old was off when we were trying to add the ability to keep everyone's preference. Now it has been fixed. The initial motivation for sorting is trying to meet various users' needs. We will definitely keep monitoring the usage and hear your feedback. Besides that, thanks and like is back also -- It does have glitch earlier. Again really appreciate your feedback here, thanks @tedbixby1981 for starting the thread!
