On the coastal pillows, sea horse, etc. - I think you may need larger inserts so pillows plump up. But generally, I think larger pillows would work better on your sofa. And maybe mix in a couple of velvets for texture,

Pillows are always such a temptation because the colors and textures are appealing. But I am uncomfortable when there are many “ for looks alone” on a sofa. I appreciate one small one to help my back if the sofa is deep, but I hate to put excess pillows on the floor just to get enough room for my tush. I was a first time guest at a coffee and had a terrible time deciding if I should just perch on the edge of the chair or try to find a space on the floor for the large pillows that looked so cute but filled the seat. The nice thing about pillows is they have no mandated space on your sofa-unlike hanging framed pictures on the wall in a fixed position, pillows can be moved to suit your mood.

Remove everything except the two blue ones. Pick one graphic one and stack it with the two blues in the corner. Put the rest in a basket and use when you need a pillow for lounging.

They look nice, but even in my own home, I remove the pillow when I want to sit in a chair or sofa, unless the seats are too deep, then one at my back. Try no more tha 3 on the sectional one in the middle and one at each end. Same idea for too many pillows, etc. on a bed that have to be moved every morning and night.

It’s never good to have too many pillows as others have mentioned. I would suggest removing the starfish and seahorse ones. But then, I’m never a big fan of “themes” in decorating.

Put each of the blue pillows on each end, put a printed pillow in front of each one (like you have done on the left side of the sofa but turn the beige pillow more outward) and then take the lumbar pillow (long one) and put it in the center. The others remove as your sofa isn't very deep and too many pillows take up to much sitting space. If you see a lot of pillows on sofas in photos, it is for eye candy and not practical reasons.

Too many pillows is the issue IMO if you need to remove a pillow to sit then there are too many. I also dislike themed spaces .

It’s not a bed. Years ago, people started putting an excessive number of pillows on beds to dress them up. It didn’t hurt anything, because it was understood that you would have to take the pillows off to sleep in the bed. Think of Ben Stiller’s character in the movie “Along Came Polly”.

Such a difference. Amazing, isn’t it, what a little tweaking can do. Sometimes it’s very hard to see what to do and fresh eyes really help.

Did you try the pillows that are in the middle of the sectional on the end where the big beige pillow is? The blue pillows are your strongest colors and having them near each other stops the eye from moving from one end of the sectional to the other. So it almost looks like a sofa rather than a sectional. I know the reasoning sounds silly but if you haven't tried it, you may just want to and see how you feel about it.

One other thing to try regarding the sectional pillows. Put the seahorse pillow that is in the middle with the blue pillow, remove the large beige pillow and just have the lumbar pillow in the corner.
