So this is my second with a young peach tree I got from Starkbros Nursery. I was very excited this year when I saw the buds blooming mid-April. That excitement however was fleeting as by April 23rd I noticed something weird with the leaves. They looked mutated and were changing colors. I quickly learned about leaf curl. So I went and got a copper fungicide, knowing everything I had read about this disease said it was to late for this season. I sprayed anyways. It made the disease retreat enough to where I was only seeing limited signs of it on a few leaves and not entire limbs of leaves.

Then a few days later I start noticing red spots on the leaves which turned to holes teaching me about shot hole disease. So I added eight inches to the diameter of the circle of soil it's planted in and dug down a foot of so removing rock, old soil and loosening tough soil at the bottom before placing new garden soil with chicken manure.

Now I'm wondering if I possibly have any other of the wonderful diseases and / or pests?

Came across some clear goo that was like jelly in two spots the day after a heavy rain and haven't seem any since. I've read aphids can do that or just the hard rain. I did see some ants nearby so I took care of them. I look daily for aphids but don't see any other signs.

Then there is the limb bark that I can't tell if it is normal or not. Some pieces look like there is white spots. I might be just assuming the worse from reading about all the peach problems but I'm worried it's some form of scale bug.

Can someone look at my pictures and let me know what this tree has and if it is going to live or if I should just try again with a new tree. It is a redhaven which is supposed to be resistant to some of these diseases.
