Thank you for your kind words! My artwork is from all over, as I'm an avid collector of all kinds of original art. The key is -- original. My biggest criticism of most of what I see on Instagram or even here on Houzz is that people buy "prints" or mass-produced art works, that are really just copies at best. I'm not above filling in with the occasional cheap print -- but I rarely have to, as I have such a large collection of original work that ranges in value from thrift store prices to high-end collectibles. So in this room you see an original French poster (probably printed in the 20's or 30's, but maybe earlier), which is an agricultural map of France showing where various fruits and vegetables are grown throughout the country. I bought this one from Chisholm-poster.com which is a gallery based in NY (although maybe now just online). I had seen this poster several times before -- I have two friends who own it, and one of them also has two matching posters showing other food-related products and where they're grown in France. So there are at least two matching posters, and if I ever see those other two anywhere -- you can bet I will buy them!

I also have very inexpensive Moroccan fans hanging in that room -- bought on a trip to Marrakech -- and they are no less lovely for being cheap! In the living room I have a huge framed 48-star American flag, bought at a vintage collectible mall. The framing was expensive, but the effect is worth it. I also have lithographs by contemporary artist Alice Patullo, of a Quail and a Jackrabbit -- beautifully printed limited editions! So these type of artworks cost a few hundred dollars each, and then the cost of custom framing -- but they are so worth it! The most valuable piece I have in this house is the Robert Indiana LOVE print -- which is an original lithographic print of this work form the mid 1960's. One of the advantages of buying older printed works is that the way they were printed in the first half of the 20th Century was much more hand-made, and more like a lithographic process -- each color poured separately into a plate. That's why the same image in a modern cheap print is never going to look as good. If there are any other specific pieces you'd like to know about, I'd be happy to share where I acquired anything. I shop flea markets, and I TRAVEL -- many of my best finds come from trips to Europe or more exotic locations. Thank you so much for your interest in the art and my homes!!
