We are debating to have the door to the master bedroom in position 1 (flush to living room wall) or position 2 (setback 2 feet) into a pocket hallway.

Visually, does it look funny having a door on that wall? The ceiling will be valued at 12’ but the hallway and bedroom are 8’. Does the setback door seem to dark, even if there was a canned light in that spot? Or does it highlight it too much.

This is our proposed furniture too. The TV is on the opposite wall, but you see the bedroom door wall as you enter into the room from the kitchen.
