It looks like they used decomposed granite over a plastic barrier. What do you think of these rocks?

These rocks are a form of pea gravel (due to their size), but as you can see they are sharp edged. These rocks do not slide around all over each other like round pea gravel does. These lock into place and stay there. They do have to be contained within a barrier, but they are much easier to maintain than rounded stones or decomposed granite.

Thank you. That looks like the rocks they used before. What are those called? Can I used a bonding liquid over them to lock them in place?
