Exterior Update Dilemma

My husband and I are purchasing this home, but I am not a fan of the exterior - 3 different materials with awkward design angles. Shingles have to stay - brand new 50 year.

We have 3 months to get it done under a home builders reno.

Help and ideas greatly appreciated.

First thing is to paint the garage doors the same color as the siding. The white is way too much, especially with the garage doors in front. I would also paint the "criss-crossing" on the house the same color as the siding. For your other trim and doors, something softer than stark white would be nice. Shingles look good!

ETA - Garage doors with windows across the top would add some interest.

I should mention - this is my inspiration pictures for colours I eventually like. We’ve debated putting vinyl all over.

What are the dimensions of the garage? Any chance you could move the doors to one side or the other and curve the driveway as well?

So you don't like the current siding color? It works nicely with both the brick and roof colors IMO.
Maybe someone here can do a mockup with the siding color from your inspiration photo. There's a lot going on in that photo!

I think your inspiration house color would work really well with the roof and the brick. In fact, the brick is not very close in color to the shake roof of you inspiration picture. I would paint the front door white, keep the trim around the windows white, paint the eave white and have white gutters, too. Paint the leaders a tan to blend with the brick.

I think it would be a big mistake to cover stucco with vinyl.

Oohhh yes, painting the leaders to match the brick would give more consistency. So you think the blue painted onto the stucco could work colour wise? My inspiration picture was mainly for the colours, not style.

Love the colors in the inspiration pick. Paint is easy to fix or redo, vinyl less so.

those 'in your face white garage doors' are what's really ruining the exterior.

paint those and paint the house.

I like your blue choice. you could do the darker blue for all of the wood trim, a lighter blue gray for the body, and Romabio lime wash for the stone

If you go w/these colors, you could leave the white doors, or paint them a lighter shade of gray or the blue

then do your landscaping like this
