Look what I got!!!

I couldn't believe the email I got yesterday in facebook as this one garden center north of here said they had drift roses!!!! So got up about 8 this morning and got the times the bus would leave where I was and the times coming back. Took my shopping cart and wore mask. Got off and when I walked up to Yonge St. I could see the Garden centre was about a 5 minute walk. When I got there, there sat on the table outside the store were 2 drop dead gorgeous fragrant drift roses in the grey containers. Also had the Oslo is it in red. Looked around the store had other roses too. But went back out to the front and grabbed one of the two drift roses. Cost $33.00 for one. It is sooooo beautiful. I have already planted it. But there is no id plastic tag saying what color it is. etc. Got pictures of it. The flowers start out yellow then they gradually go white. Had a popcorn one that did this. Or is it white??? When everybody at my apartment saw it they were spellbound by it!!! Oh and my campfire has buds on it too now and so has the Shield!!! None yet for the Always or the Chinook. Drift rose makes up for the ones that haven't got any yet.

I don’t know the name, but it looks great! Thanks for sharing the picture - it looks especially nice with the little purple flowers in the background.

Damask_rose you were right. I kinda of wondered about it being the popcorn one as usually the flowers are more like rounded on it and also it doesn't remain yellow once it opens And I went to star roses website and discovered it is the newest one that I got in the Lemon Drift rose!!!! Awesome!!! Everybody loves it. In fact this one lady that helped me with the cutting back of them was enchanted by it. Said I don't normally like roses but she thought it spectacular. Knew where the place was that I got it from. Went out earlier today and admitted she was really tempted to pick up that 2nd drift one from where I got mine :D If there is any that is of the sweet drift rose any of our garden centers have for sale next year may pick up one of it too as it is breath-taking! Smells out of this world the lemon one. Hahah I love lemon pies!!! Couldn't get my raspberry lemonade put out by Simply at our drug store last Thurs. But ended up with a lemon drift rose instead. Will go early to our drug store Wed see if there are any bottles of it in yet before the storms and rain come. IF so will grab a bottle of it. Won't wait for seniors day on Thurs. might be all gone by then. Get special hours on Thurs and discounts. Could have gotten a bottle of it at Walmart when there but thought no will get it from our drug store get 20% off it on Thurs. Big empty space where it was supposed to be darn it.
