are you up for painting the brick? (not w/regular paint, with Romabio mineral base paint. it's meant for masonry and has a very very low maintenance)

I think if you did a cedar composite siding, black or gray brick, black or charcoal roof, it would look great.

Basically what these After color combos look like

I'd also take off those shutters. they do nothing to enhance the style or those windows.

do a 1x3 trim around the window and paint it black

see if you like any of these

do your windows like below. trim them out w/regular trim and paint it black. do charcoal gray on the siding or brick portion

just showing you what the dark trimmed windows look like. gray siding, some warm wood and more modern doors

Dark blue siding is another option

if all you want to do is the siding, and leave the brick, here ya go

I didn't realize there was specific paint for brick! I like that idea, maybe paint the brick black?

I like the idea of trimming the windows out w/regular trim and then painting it black. Yes we'll remove the shutters and do the rest of the house brown with a black roof.

Donna, the black brick, cedar (or composite) wood siding, black trim around the white windows, charcoal/black roof, would look so good! I'd love to see that

Then for the finishing touches,,,I gave you a modern door (you could also pick a cool color to paint), and address plaque w/a more modern porch light, and I did something w/your steps. (paint your railing black)

I would not do a black metal roof. First of all, you can't really see it and second, black absorbs heat. I would take off the shutters.

If you are going to re-side, why not remove the brick and do the house all in one siding?

I like the idea of a modern door.

Beth…love how you were able to do before and after for Donna. What software?

Brenda, the before/after photos aren't mine. theyre were pulled online searching for 'split level redo' .

on the one where I photo shopped a door and some other things, I use my iMac, Preview, copy and paste images on a photo.
