I am having a heck of a time getting these surface igniters out. It looked like you could just unscrew them, but they just spin forever so there is probably some washer behind it, but I cannot get access to it.

I've taken apart a lot of the top but these weird side brackets are stumping me. They seem to need to be vertically separated then pulled apart vertically. But it is proving very difficult, and I'm wondering is there some trick?
