Any ideas?

98% sure they're beetle eggs and they look a lot like lady beetle (ladybug) eggs but many beetle eggs look almost the same with slight differences. Look up a picture of a lady bug larva and watch to see, or get rid of them.

Thank you, Kevin. I thought lady beetle eggs were yellow but just read that they can be cream-colored. I’ll keep an eye out.

Did you ever find out what these are? i have them on my daylily

I posted it to a bug forum and they identified them as eggs from something like a squash bug. Can’t remember exactly but nothing horrible.

I'd cut off the piece of leaf, put it in a container, and see what hatches.
