I am looking to build a TV cabinet with a lift mechanism to hide the TV.Something similar to this but with a completely different style.

Are there any lifts that can use an IR sensor or optical cable to activate the lift when I turn on the TV?

We already have too many remotes and are trying to minimize them, so I thought, instead of having the remote that comes with the lift, I could plug in an IR sensor to the lift mechanism or have some sort of receiver where I can plugin the Optical cable from the TV and have it tell the lift to go up or down (similar to how it turns on our soundbar when I click the volume button).

Does anyone have any tips on how to do this and what I need to look for in a TV lift to make it work?
