Cercis...I planted two on my slope. Just an FYI.. The one on the part shade end has done much better than the sunny end. Quadrupled in size compared to the other.

GardenHo, that's really interesting about the shade/sun aspect. I too bought one after Rouge sung it's praises. Make me rethink where i placed it. It's doing well, but i would love something like this on my shadier slope........hmmmm.........

I have a new Arabella too. I'm training over some empty ground around a small tree. I thought I might try my hand at propagating by cuttings this winter. Has anyone done cutttings of Arabella?

rouge I don't know how I missed this, what a lovely Clematis. Since you enjoy your original so much I imagine we will soon see the white gracing your garden.

@peren.all Zone 5a Ontario Canada, we have never met and yet you seem to know me very well ;). (But there are so so many varieties of clematis that it is often difficult to source any specific one.)

I've rooted it and have two in the ground and one in a pot. I root them in summer. Some of my rooted clem cuttings make it through the winter and some don't.
