how many hours of direct sun do they get.. the pix make it appear pretty dark there ...

they probably could do with some rejuvenation pruning .. but lets see the pix first ...

The plants you are asking about are cherry laurels also.

I also see no evidence of any shot hole problems. Looks like some possible gnawing on the leaf edges but that would be attributable to insects, like vine weevils, and not a disease.

Shot hole in laurels and other Prunus species can be from various causes and not necessarily pathogenic or disease-based. Overhead watering is one of the most common factors. Mulch would not be a likely source.

No soil disturbance before Mulch applied, buy we did have our roof installed last year (months earlier) and I’m sure pieces of old roof were flying down and men walking through there. I’ve attached photos of the plant From afar and of the shot hole on the other side of the plant. The shothole is Dispersed throughout some of the plant-I cut down many branches with dying leaves and shothole from the other side, which was where my initial photos were taken. Thanks!
