I'm designing my own house for a rebuild and trying to figure out how to get the cabinetry done. Here are some slides showing rough specs for the various items--some are technically not typical cabinets.

Should I ...

1. Go with one custom cabinet shop for all items? (I suppose this is most expensive, unless they give a discount.)
2. Go with two shops, one for custom/more expensive items and one for semi-custom/less expensive items?
3. Go with a cabinet shop for semi-custom/less expensive item and hire a local carpenter for the custom items?
4. Go with a cabinet shop for semi-custom/less expensive item, and buy some pieces from IKEA and paint them myself? :)
5. ???

I'd love for all the items to have a consistent look, unless that's too expensive overall.

Note that some of the custom items are actually simple, like the roll-out carts under the stairs. The headboard could also be simple in build.
