I agree with Steve, much better choice. FW always gets crispy edges it was the first hosta I bought and its tendency to burn even in the shade really stopped me from buying any others for a long time. I’ll have to post a pic of my FW which still lives and gets burnt edges under a large star magnolia.

I like how it brings down point of interest as well as replicates horizontal lines of flowers on the tree.

They are beautifully sited in that location. EA is a lovely hosta and as the others said FW burns even in shade.....well maybe 1 ray of sun kisses it for a minute. No more. :-)

Thank you all so much! I am new to the hosta game and am starting to see how folks become addicted. I have Patriot also, and while they are very pretty, there is just something special about Earth Angel.

You will be so much happier with Earth Angel than you would have been with Frances Williams. It's a spectacular hosta. Yours look wonderful.
