i have an old 3 gal dog water bowl on the deck ... for the feral cats.. and birds in the heat of summer ... so i get all kinds of interesting fauna out the kitchen window ... you should hear the old cat on the inside of the sliding door.. bitchin at the birds.. i dont even know how to explain that noise.. lol ..

My catbirds are very particular about their locations. Some hang out in my huge rhododendron and the others hang out in my lush blackberry patch. There must be something near your patio that they like.... bushes with dense foliage, maybe? :)

Do you have a serviceberry there, Ken? They are nuts about serviceberries, and fight the robins and starlings for the berries.
