The tops need to be level and on the same plane, but if it's the cabinets that are not level, I don't know if the countertop installers would be responsible. As for the seams--they look good. If the color is a bit off, try a black sharpie on the light part of the seam.

I think the pattern matching at the seams is about the best you can expect with that graphic of a pattern (and they did do well), but the two pieces not being level at the seam is a problem. Have you called them to come out and look at it?

Also, the last pic in your first post, is it just the lighting that makes the right side piece look so off color from the left? It just looks so much more grey, might be the angle or lighting of the pic though.

A rep from the installation company was out today and will be getting in touch with Cambria.

It's not a lighting issue on the last pic. The piece on the right has a lot more gray in it.

The seams and matchup look great. If the two slabs are not level that is a problem but your photos don’t convey that.

With the leveling tools available to fabricators these days, a non-flush seam is unacceptable. The vacuum on those tools are powerful enough to remove a bow in an engineered stone top long enough for the adhesive to grab and keep it out permanently.

Unfortunately in this case, the cure may be worst than the disease, especially since the section not flush appears to be near the wall. Grinding to flush and refinishing is difficult and only for the most talented with engineered stone. Kiss your manufacturer warranty goodbye if you do. Breaking and remaking the seam is risky. I'd ask for a discount and put the toaster there.

In all fairness, with the exception of their criteria as to whom they decide to sell slabs, Cambria has nothing to do with this. It's fabricator/installer error.

May I ask where you are located? I'd like to buy your remnant if you have any left.

I am looking into using Cambria Bentley for my island. However my island is too wide (64'') to use a single piece to make, considering the 2.5'' miter edges, but I don't want to buy a second piece just to make the edges.

So I am hoping I can buy a remnant piece if it's at the long edge area and is long enough (>=96''). If you are local and don't mind selling your remnant, please let me know. Thanks!!

The pattern matching is great! I would be happy if we get ours matched like that. We are installing our cambria annicca and identical (one corner and one on one side of the sink) seams in about 1-2 weeks. The level though doesn´t look good.
