Hello Quilters!

How is everyone coping these days? We are still staying at home most of the time. We are continuing social distancing with everyone except DD and her girls. My church small group has been meeting, but outdoors and 6 feet apart. They met indoors this week, so I didn't attend.

The last time I went into a grocery store was March 11. We have been shopping with instacart, combining orders with DD.

The quilt guild has been having virtual meetings on our private Facebook page. Some of my friends and I have been having Zoom meetings to talk about what we are quilting. We have also done parking lot meetings to exchange our swap blocks and to pick up and return quilts that need quilting for the charity we support. We all wear masks and stand at least 6 feet apart. Who knew we would look forward to parking lot meeting?

What have you been doing to stay safe but still interact with friends?

Well, hi, Linda! I'm glad you're doing okay.

I'm still working full time, going into the office. We have our temp checked every day and are supposed to be wearing masks when we are out of our office. One of my furloughed coworkers was called back to work this week. It's nice to have one more person - it's been just my boss and me since mid-March (4 others furloughed).

We go to the grocery store once a week and out to eat a few times a week. Hubby works for Lowe's so he's been full-time at the store through all this, too. So far, so good!

DH and I have been venturing out some, but wear masks (if nothing else, to make others comfortable). We have a zoom meeting with our Sunday School class and one with our Bible study group. We meet last night at one of their homes on Lake Michigan. What a perfect night. We were on the deck for the most part. We had lunch outside at a quilting friends house so she could pass me a quilt to work on. With the numbers going up in some states, we will continue to stick close to home for awhile.

Heya Linda, glad to hear from you.

I have been working throughout Covid as pharmacists are essential. Pharmacy lobby is closed so all business is minimal contact at the drive thru window or delivery. We wear masks at the drive thru, but not when we are inside working...there is only 3 of us. Both kids have been home from college since spring break. Neither have been working since both of their jobs were nonessential. We've just been laying low and staying home most of the time. We live on a lake and it has been just beautiful the past several weeks. We have had some visiting family, but they have been working from home and only had minimal contact at the grocery stores so there was little risk of spread with their visits

Life has been so strange and more so now with all of the protesting/looting/chaos. I just don't know what to think anymore. I am thankful we live far away from any big cities.
