Dining table help

We have an odd space for our dining table. It is an L shape due to the stair railing. The table that we currently have is a long table from Restoration Hardware. We are a family of 5 and it is quite a long table when we do not have guests. I am looking for suggestions on how to place a smaller table here. A smaller table will leave a “nook” that I am not sure what to do with. Suggestions?
