Is this in place of a downdraft or over head vent? We are looking to put a gas range/oven in front of a window. Looking for venting solutions. Beautiful kitchen!!

We’re u limited to an induction stove under the window? I would love to do a stove under a window but I’m getting conflicting information!! Also how well does the flush mount ventilation system work.
