How do you like my beach house kitchen

We moved here Because we loved the area close to the beach and our yard.,We hated the red quartz, backsplash and floor.. We did not want to paint cabinets white or gray like everyone else! I think it looks cute almost done they still have to install breakfast bar in front of the window where the table is! The counter is pristine the backsplash is marble.. floor is beachy tile..

I usually do not like your floors in most homes but in a beach house I like how it invokes images of drift wood. Good job.

(just so you know, Houzz is quirky with the voting feature. My votes never work, I just get a spinning ball if I click to vote, and I am not the only one.)

I like the square floor tiles. They are reminiscent of sand!

    Which quartz is your counter?

  • Jar G

Loved it until the ruffled curtain. That just aged it for me.

I love everything except the curtains, which do immediately "date" the space. Without the curtains, the room is so very fresh and inspired. I'd take them down and call it perfect.

The curtains are fine except the matching or similar towel on the dish washing handle is too much . If that’s the spot for a towel ??? Try a light beige linen towel. I’d probably shorten the valance at kitchen window it’s not the best proportion. The flowered print will be nicer if you can hem it up. The valance at the bar looks good. In all: the lighter feel w the same cabinets was worth it. It is really refreshing , although funny I didn’t dislike the red , but the lighter touch is much nicer for the setting. nice worthwhile project!!!

Lovely! And I agree the "driftwood" floor is great in that space. Enjoy! So warm and cheerful.

To me it’s the ruffling on the curtains. That screams grandma’s cottage more than beach.

What's the feature that looks like a little lighthouse? A birdhouse or feeder? It's adorable!

The lighthouse in the yard is just a decoration it's 5 feet tall... It was hand made by a friend! Thank you :)
