Using metal studs sounds like a good idea, but metal studs require different methods for electrical work, door frame installation, wood trim installation, and plumbing installation.

If I can find a carpenter/handyperson who can install galvanized, I much prefer it. Neater, cleaner and much more quickly installed than wood. And when it's done, no warping. To avoid moisture damage, I use 1" thick strips of XPS under the baseplate.

FWIW, in Toronto I use Bailey non-structural.

There are a number of steel stud mounting kits available. If you know where the TV or other fixtures are going you can also install wood blocking between the steel studs as you're putting them up.
