You're home is really cute and has the potential to really shine. Landscaping would of course go a long way and with those trees incorporated would look great. The biggest issue I see is the gray, it just doesn't bring out the best in your beautiful brick or with your bronze windows. I also think painting the timbers a contrasting color would help. Please don't take any offense. Many of us are living in homes that can't (without a big budget) be what we are maybe dreaming of but we work with what we have as best we can. Gray can be a great color but isn't in many cases the right way to go. A few examples of what may make you smile and make your home the envy of the street...even if not your original vision

great looking house, but that gray color is too cool for the brick.

and the pink-ish//taupe color of the deck is completely wrong for both.

Another thing that would help (besides paint) is landscaping. A tudor revival type home needs more of an English type of garden or landscaping of some sort.

look at pics below, or just google Tudor Revival homes and browse through yards and colors.

are you up for painting (lime washing or an actual mortar brick paint) the brick? If you did the brick in a white, cream or soft gray, you could go w/anything up top. Here's a before/after

or, if leaving the brick, what about this. Do more of a creamy white stucco w/ a deep evergreen on the trim

or, white stucco and this color gray. (less blue)

that would work. Here are some combos I put together for you. don't forget about the garage door. if you can't replace, maybe add some carriage style hardware to the door, or perhaps a few windows. like these. (and this is the type of gray you want w/the brick. a warmer gray)

you have bronze windows, so here is a color palette that will work w/those. I like Urbane Bronze and Roman Column together. then pick a color for the front door, and new lighting

notice the garage door hardware. maybe a light over the door, or on either side.

This is a similar house. look at the darker windows w/darker trim, a lighter siding color and notice the garage door. this style would look great on yours too

So, if you want to move away from the Tudor style, new siding could make the change. Except for the vertical battens, it looks to be a normal suburban home with some Tudor flourishes tacked on. You could change the look of that with new siding. Here is Hardie board and batten above brick and windows a bit more like yours. A wide Hardie plank could work too.

Short of residing, Celerygirl's rendering looks great and takes the house away from that Tudor look. I think a little color somewhere (door/landscaping) would really make it something!

needs more contrast. (Actually, if you really want to get away from the Tudor look, then remove all of that trim on the stucco (or wood siding). modernize it by changing it.

maybe chadwick on the trim and the swiss on the body, red for the door?

how about something darker? Iron ore stucco, aged white trim? or vice versa? clay pot door.

pick any of these two for combo.

here's a red brick w/a dark mossy green. Iron Ore would be similar. if you took off all of the 'tudor' trim molding, you could do one solid color

With the neutrals Beth suggests the red would be great. Elephant Ear is a great color too.

You could keep your trim color and just go back and paint the stucco area a soft whitish gray. However, your current color scheme seems more updated in appearance than going back to accenting the Tudor timbers

These are all great ideas. I think I would like to remove the faux tudor wood and side over it. Thinking of siding the top half of the house where the windows go up from the bottom to the top, so the top is siding and bottom is brick. What does everyone think of that? Is anyone able to mock up a quick rendering of that? I'd like to add some architectural elements to make it pop, like new front porch columns or something else that would help. Any ideas??

Would you be interested in a two story portico created by extending that small center forward facing gable. You could add a Juliet balcony for the upstairs window.

You have a side door without a porch but you might consider adding a metal framed w/clear top awning, especially if you choose to create a Juliet balcony -- you could match the metal.

My personal preference would be to paint all the gray painted surfaces a classic white.

I think the most updated look would be to change the siding to B&B. Painting the existing siding some color suggested here will give it a fresh look.

Here is a mock-up of siding on the second story. I don't think it is better than what you have. I would replace the leader by the front porch post with a pretty rain chain.
